Tasks and responsibilites:
• Manage, oversee, and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the department related to customer interaction and customs activities;
• Manage, coach, lead, develop and motivate an experienced and high-performing team in customer service and customs;
• Maintain departmental and supplier metrics, ensure they are kept up-to-date and accurate;
• Day to day management of external transport partner relationships and performance;
• Ensure that all appropriate administration is complete and accurate;
• Drive Continuous Improvement;
• Drive safe and constructive working conditions;
• Facilitate adequate training to department personnel;
• Foster positive employee relations by applying people management & development strategies;
• Responsible for resource planning of staff and equipment;
• Conduct timely in- and external audits.
• Build efficient workflows to meet and exceed SLAs and KPIs.
• Drive continuous improvement in processes and team development.
• 5+ years of relevant experience, with 3+ years in a leadership role;
• Proficiency in MS Office and SAP (preferred);
• Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills;
• Knowledge of transport orchestration and/or Customs & Compliance is a significant advantage;
• Proficient in MS Office, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint;
• Experience with SAP is a plus;
• Proficient in English, verbally and writing;
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills;
• You are proactive, stress resistant, a real team player and results oriented.
