Wat ga je doen?

As Senior Project Manager, you lead multidisciplinary teams that deliver international projects across the organisation's European sites. You work according to a project management methodology based on Prince2.
 
Your projects include migrations, new operational set ups and relocations resulting from contract extensions. Many of these projects involve large scale automation. They are typically planned two to three years in advance and move through preparation, tendering and implementation phases.
 
You are responsible for both project management and change management, from strategy through execution. You define clear objectives, guide teams through every phase and ensure that changes are successfully embedded within the organisation. This includes developing and delivering training programmes to ensure new processes and systems are adopted effectively.
 
As part of a team of eleven project managers across Europe, you work closely with a wide range of stakeholders. These include executive and regional management, as well as IT, engineering, legal, finance, procurement and operations teams. You know how to build strong relationships, present well founded recommendations and make decisions with confidence, even when working with senior stakeholders.
 
Key responsibilities

• Planning and monitoring assigned projects in line with the project management methodology based on Prince2;
• Leading multidisciplinary and international project teams throughout all implementation phases;
• Organising workshops and facilitating discussions with clients, operations and IT teams to define requirements and processes;
• Identifying, assessing and managing project risks and issues, while constructively challenging project teams and project board members;
• Providing stakeholders with transparency on project status, progress and challenges through reporting and structured project governance, including team and board meetings;
• Developing and facilitating employee training programmes to ensure sustainable adoption of new processes and systems;
• Identifying and pursuing automation opportunities within implementation projects once operations have reached the appropriate level of maturity.

Wat breng je mee?

• At least five years of experience as a Project Manager within an international 3PL environment, including a proven track record in managing large and complex projects;
• Prince2 certified, or certified in a comparable project management methodology, with the willingness to further develop expertise in this field;
• Experience with, or affinity for, automation within a logistics or warehouse environment is considered an advantage;
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering & Management, Supply Chain Management or a related field;
• Strong communication skills in English, combined with a structured way of working and excellent organisational and presentation skills;
• Able to maintain a helicopter view and confidently interact with senior stakeholders, including directors and vice presidents;
• Willingness to travel across Europe approximately 10 to 20% of the time.

• Salary between €5,000 and €7,500 per month;
• Fixed gratuity of 5% of annual salary;
