Operations Manager

Wat ga je doen?

We are looking for a driven Operations Manager for KLG’s high-end logistics production location supporting one of their international technology clients. In this role, you are at the heart of the operation: you lead teams, optimise processes and ensure that quality, safety and performance remain at a consistently high level.

Together with another Operations Manager, you are responsible for a dynamic site of over 21,000 m², where highly specialised products are assembled, mainly through manual work.

As Operations Manager, you lead around six team leaders across Inbound, Outbound, several production lines and the administrative team, including transport coordination and the shipping office. You work closely with the other Operations Manager. One manager is always present on the warehouse floor, while the other focuses on projects and process improvements. During quieter periods you rotate these roles daily. In peak periods, you are both present on the floor.

Tasks and Responsbilities

• Building, leading and developing a strong team of team leaders and planning staff.
• Monitoring and improving material flows and operational processes.
• Safeguarding quality, safety and continuous improvement (including through Six Sigma).
• Responsible for inbound, storage, value-added services and outbound processes.
• Ensuring a safe and customer-focused operation.
• Maintaining effective cooperation with internal stakeholders and achieving KPIs.

You will work in a quarterly rhythm with peak periods. Depending on the customer forecast, this means day shifts and several two-shift rotations each quarter, shared with the other Operations Manager.

Wat breng je mee?

• At least a bachelor's level of working and thinking, preferably in Logistics, Supply Chain or Business Administration.
• Proven leadership experience in a warehouse or operational environment; experience with value-added services is an advantage.
• A positive and pragmatic leader who can inspire, coach and develop teams.
• Strong in process thinking, planning and prioritising.
• Strong communication skills in English; Dutch is an advantage.
